Som for mange andre er Bruce Springsteen ein favoritt, særleg albuma "The River " fra 1980 og " Born in the USA" fra 1984 , men også dei to siste " Magic " og " Working on a dream".
I tekstane hans finn  eg ein  varme og djup medkjensle for dei i det amerikanske samfunnet som aldri nådde opp til " The american dream". Eller alle dei som opplevde at draumen rakna då den lokale industrien gjekk konkurs og dei stod på bar bakke utan jobb og inntekt. Gang etter gang framhevar han og det  fine i å høyra til i ein familie, i eit lokal samfunn som teksten eg har gjeve att ovanfor " My hometown" er eit godt eksempel på. Og han har definitivt ikkje tapt seg med åra, " Magic" og "Working on a dream" er prov på det.
